Scattered Thoughts

Here's a blog I wrote a while back describing why I am a Husker fan. Check it out here.
For the first time in a long time, Pelini has the Husker defense playing like the blackshirts of old. They've only given up four touchdowns through five games. Next Saturday vs Texas Tech will present a challenge.

I will never cheer for the Yanks or Notre Dame. NEVER!

My ideal day: 83 degrees with a 5 mph wind during the day...58 degrees with a slight breeze throughout the evening. Memphis doesn't really fit the description.

This question has no agenda whatsoever...but what do you think the average teacher should be paid in America?

  1. At least double of what they get now. How is it the most important job ever gets the lowest pay??? Doesn't make sense to me.

  2. Watched the Nebraska-Mizzou game at ESPNZone in Las Vegas. Not sure why there were so many Nebraska fans there with cornheads on but it was very quiet for the longest time and then constant noise for the 4th quarter.

    $50k minimum for teachers.

  3. I pull for Notre Dame 1 game per year. When they play USC.

Teachers should be paid according to their ability. I was a school administrator - and there were some teachers that were WAY overpaid, while others should have received twice their salary. But that's not what you asked. Pay should depend on location, but I agree with Jeff ..... 50K is a good.

  4. 50k minimum.

Any merit/ability pay should be above and beyond the minimum salary...like a bonus. Something you should work hard to get.

Cost of living increases should be larger than health insurance increases so teachers don't essentially take a pay decrease while copays/insurance go up.
